We start by delving into your health history, spending approximately 30 minutes to understand your individual needs and formulate a personalized treatment plan. The core of the session is dedicated to acupuncture, involving the strategic placement of needles on the front and/or back of your body, depending on the targeted areas. Beyond acupuncture, our treatment includes diverse modalities such as moxa, massage, essential oils, cupping, infrared heat/light, or electrical stimulation, ensuring a tailored and holistic approach to your well-being. Wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is advised to enhance your comfort during the session. Sensations during acupuncture can vary; you might experience a slight aching sensation or feel very little. Your comfort is paramount, and adjustments can be made accordingly. The treatment aims for an overall sense of relaxation and rejuvenation. If you're seeking pain relief, our goal is to significantly reduce or eliminate it, often noticeable after the first treatment. Following your acupuncture session, allowing yourself the rest of the day to relax is ideal, although you can resume regular activities if desired. Looking ahead, we'll collaboratively outline a treatment plan based on the severity and duration of your concern. Typically, new patients undergo acupuncture once a week for four weeks before a reassessment guides the ongoing course of treatment.
